Juliett today May 22nd

Juliett loves rice porridge, but she doesn't like pumpkins.
She had tried some tomatoes, carrots, and bananas.
I enjoy making baby food for her. It is a lot of work to make baby food, but I feel so nice to see Juliett eating them happily.

Juliett sleeps a lot at night and doesn't have naps. She moves a lot and tries to lick everything she sees. We need to make our rooms tidy!

At last, Juliett got her passport yesterday! Now we are ready for visiting Canada!

That's good that her passport came in time. I spent a whole morning last week in line at the passport office only to find out I had to get a new birth certificate before I applied. Very frustrating. All the trees have new leaves here in Calgary and the spring flowers are blooming. It will be pretty for your trip.

Thanks for your comment, Shannon. I'm excited to have the lovely flower season in Calgary.
I worry that Juliett will be OK during the long flight to Canada. I heard that babies have earache because of air pressure if they don't drink something or have something in their mouths during take-off and landing. I'll take some toys and teethers. If you have any advice, please give me!

I flew quite a bit back and forth to Manitoba with both Emma and Riley when they were babies. I usually gave them something to eat or drink during take off and landing. (Before they were eating solids or drinking from a cup I nursed them but some flight attendants don't like that - they want the baby sitting up for take off and landing.) As long as they're swallowing we didn't have any problems. Once, Riley had a cold when we flew to Kansas and her ears bothered her going up and down.
Once our girls were older I always packed some new, small, inexpensive toys, books or stickers for the trip. When we went to Australia I wrapped them and gave them a new "present" every once in a while when they needed diverting.
For Juliett I would probably suggest some little toys that she hasn't played with before to occupy her as well as her favorites.
We also tried to get seating in the front of the sections so there was a little bit of space on the floor in front for them to be on a blanket on the floor.
When we flew to Australia the flight attendants were very helpful, when they saw we had a toddler, they moved us to a row with empty seats so we had more space. Also, some planes have fold down cots for babies to sleep in.
Good luck! We will be praying for a safe trip for you!

Thank you so much, Shannon! Your comment was so helpful and made me relieved. We will prepare some new toys for Juliett not to get bored.
I hope everything will be OK on the way to Calgary.
You are great mom, Shannon. The "present" idea sounds nice and fun for kids. I cannot even imagine to travel with 3 kids.I am still a biginner of "mom", but I think experiences and daily life with Juliett will give me confidence as a mom.
