座るとおしりをすっぽり包んで重さから自分で抜け出すことができないという人気のバンボベビーソファ、私たちもベビーチェアの購入を考えていたので、お風呂でも外でも家の中でも使えると言う便利さ、汚れも拭けば取れちゃう楽さに惹かれて買いました。水色と黄色が一般的みたいだけど、ラッキーなことに限定色のライラックを選べました。落ち着いた色でかわいい。サウスアフリカ製です。首が据わった頃から１４ヶ月まで使えるようで、さっそくジュリを座らせてみました。不思議な肌触りに興味を持ったみたいであちこちペタペタ。まだ首が後ろにいきそうになったりゆらゆらしてたので長くは座らなかったけれど、少ししたらご機嫌、きゃぁきゃぁ声だしてました。気に入ってくれたかな。離乳食が始まったらこれに座って食べようね。
今日、桃の果汁をスプーンであげたら、初めて自分からスプーンが近づくと口を開けてくれました。感激。果汁自体は時々うまくごっくんできなかったけれど、何度やっても「あーん。」って口を開けてくれるのがすごく嬉しかった。母乳一本のジュリ、最近は哺乳瓶で麦茶や湯冷まし・果汁をあげてもゴムがイヤみたいで飲んでくれません。スプーンも嫌いだったらどうしようと母は心配しておりました。なので良かった～！

Wow! You have a bumbo! Did you get that in Japan or did someone send it over? Some of my friends have them and love them. They sell them at the kids consignment store a block away from our house. I wish they had been invented when Nathan was a baby. They have trays for them that attach on the front as well - do you have one of those?
I got it through on line shopping. Bumbo chair is so popular in Japan too and it is quite difficult to get it now. So we are lucky!
I don't know the trays you wrote about. That sounds interesting and useful. Juliett will start baby food next month. I'll check internet sites and take a look. Thank you for your comments!
I think the little plastic tray that attaches to the front is around $12 Canadian if I remember correctly.
It's called the "Bumbo Play Tray".
Thanks for the great information, Shannon. It looks so useful and it isn't so expensive. We want to pick one up when we visit Canada.
