Hello from Japan

Hello from Japan!
We arrived safe on the 10th and we have been having a good time in Japan.

I have already felt many culture shocks. I got used to our small town life in Canada and forgot how things were in Japan. So, many things are new to me, and that is really strange because I had grown up in this country. Houses are so small and were built so close to next doors, houses and buildings are so close to roads and roads are very narrow I can't believe that I loved driving in Japan. Everything is so squashed as much as it can be, that is my impression.

I feel strange hearing Japanese everywhere too. I still don't get used to it yet, so when I hear Japanese somewhere I automatically think 'wow I hear Japanese! I wonder if Japanese people are around myself...'  :) But you know, Japanese people everywhere and that makes me smile, of course I hear Japanese, we are in Japan right now.

Juliett has been so great, I am quite amazed, she has been trying to speak in Japanese to my parents, family, neighbors, and friends. I have speak to her in Japanese(depends on the situation I use English too) in Canada, so she can understand what people are saying in Japanese, which is good, and now she talks in Japanese little by little to them, which is awesome.

Juliett is very surprised to see so many flowers in Japan, her camera's photos are mostly flowers we saw. Mine is full of foods. :) It was about 20 degrees yesterday. Very warm and humid. My heels dryness is gone, very smooth and nice, Juliett doesn't itch her arms or stomach(dry skin). Juliett's hair is a bit curly, mine is like Beethoven(I have natural wave too). I am glad that I brought my hair iron with me.

While I am typing this blog, I hear a bush warbler singing so beautifully. I will upload some photos of flowers I took in Japan so far. The cherry blossoms are very beautiful in my moms yard.

I love Christmas roses, I used them for my wedding bouquet. My mom has lots in her yard. They are so beautiful.(tricky to take photos though)

I don't know what to call this, horsetail? I liked picking them on the way from elementary school when I was Juliett's age.

It has quite busy and I can't find my own time to sit with a computer but I will write more about things we see in Japan. :)

Everything looks so lovely there Eriko! It really is spring. We're supposed to get more snow tomorrow - so I'm glad you're missing it! Have a lovely time in Japan.
