週末ってどうしてパンケーキが食べたくなるんだろう。
I don' know why but I always feel like eating pancakes at weekends. 

ジェイミーのレシピを含め、これだ！っていうパンケーキ（日本のホットケーキみたいな）レシピを探し中です。
I loved pancakes when I was young, our pancakes in Japan, we call it "hot cake" and it contains sugar, egg, milk, flour and other powder, maybe a bit salt too. So it is sweet. I liked it eating with melted butter on top.
I am still looking for a perfect pancake recipe that is not oily, and has good sweetness and fluffiness.   

今回は卵の黄身と白身を別に泡立てて、よくこのブログでも登場する卵のふわふわケーキの時と同じように、白身をメレンゲの時みたいにしっかりと泡立てて黄身の入った生地に織り混ぜるレシピ。手間がかかるけれど、美味しいパンケーキになる気がしてウキウキ。
This recipe, I had to mix egg york and white separately. Especially egg white, you had to mix until it has peaks like making meringue or our favourite cake that I often make. So it had an extra work than usual pancake making, but I knew it would be very fluffy!

でも、このレシピ、塩は入るけれど砂糖は入らなかった。
さすが別立て、ふわふわにできていい食感、でも次は砂糖を入れようかなぁ。砂糖入れると変わっちゃうのかなぁ。。。油っぽくなくてさらっとしていて軽くてなかなかいいなと思いました。
But it didn't have sugar in the recipe and I wanted to make exactly what it said, so I didn't add any sugar. The texture is very soft and fluffy and we all liked it very much. It wasn't oily at all, it was really good with syrup, I actually liked it a lot.

砂糖の入っているホットケーキにはバター派なんだけれど、これにはたっぷりシロップをかけたら美味しかったです。トッピングの提案がしてあって、家にバナナがあったので入れたけれど、過熱したバナナはあまり人気ありませんでした。次は別のトッピングで。
Jamie suggests some toppings, and I added some sliced bananas, but we are not a big fan of cooked bananas and I prefer simple ones. We might try other topping next time.

昨日はカナダに戻ってきてから初の街への買出し。
恒例のこの景色、なんだけれど、ちょっとずつ芝が色づいてきているのを見て嬉しかった道中でした。また３週間後に行く時には表情が変わっているんだろうなぁ、と思うとウキウキしてきます。
We went to GP for our big grocery shopping yesterday and we noticed that grass was a bit greener by the highway and snow melted away a lot. We are looking forward to seeing the view with more green next time.

日が随分伸びたので、５時に街を出ても、家に着くまでずっと明るくて嬉しい。
今まではもう５時の時点でかなり暗くなって、道中は真っ暗だったので、帰り道にこういう風に山が遠くに見えるんだと言うのも発見でした。
We were also happy because all the way home sun was still up and we were enjoyed driving in the mountains. It was the first time for us that we didn't need to worry about getting dark the way home.  It was very nice!

町に着いた頃には雪がちらついていました。やっぱりここは寒い。今日も時々雪が舞っています。
We had some snow today. Hope it will be warmer and more Spring like this week!
