Juliett is 10 months old. It's my mom's birthday. It's Auntie Karen's birthday, too! Happy Birthday! Below is a memo what Juliett can do now. I am sorry not to write in English, it's too long. I'm keep writing about her development on this blog every 2 or 3 days. NO!」
We got some fresh apples and chestnuts. Juliett looked so interested in them. She touched them, licked them, and threw them. She enjoyed lots of fruits this summer, watermelons, melons, japanese pears, bananas, cherries, strawberries, grapes, and peaches! She also likes apples. Chestnuts were too dry and bland for her. I love them though.
Juliett knows how to play the xylophone. She loves to suck anything, so I gave her the honey dipper which was less dangerous than the stick. She put it to her mouth at first, then I showed how to play it to her. She started to copy me and now she enjoys playing(hitting) the xylophone. When I am away, she sucks the dipper. When she finds me looking at her, she stops sucking and starts hitting. That is so cute. The cookies can is as a drum. She is a great percussionist!
Juliett likes to crawl under the futon tunnel. She crawled so much and got tired. She fell asleep under the tunnel.
Juliett hides herself behind the curtain and does "Peek-a-Boo!". She likes doing it so much and repeats it again and again. When she hears somebody says "bye-bye"on TV, she waves her hands to the TV. She can communicate with us little by little. I am so impressed by her growth everyday.
It's Respect-for-the-Aged-Day today. We would like to send very best wishes to Juliett 's great-grandma in Canada.
テラス席で犬を見つけて「ハロー、ドギィ ♪ 」 Juliett, my husband, parents and I went to a park and have lunch. Juliett saw a doggy and she waved her hand to the dog. We had some delicious pizza there. This was my husband's favorite. Roquette with Ricotta Cheese.
It's getting a little bit cooler here in Japan. Juliett wore a cute purple dress. She IS like a Little Miss Lady.
Juliett played the wood toy at her grandparents house. She likes to open the lid and throw all blocks out on the floor.
When I was in the kitchen, she called me happily on the sofa. She was wearing my shoulder bag and dancing on the sofa. That was cute and funny.
Juliett and I were very lazy today. We read, played, had a nap on our futon mat. Juliett had 2 rice crackers there too. That was not a good manner. But rainy day made us very lazy.
Juliett talked with Grandma and Grandpa in Canada over the internet this morning. She looked so happy to hear her Grandparents talking. I am sure she recognized them by their voices. When grandpa said "Inai-inai.....(Peek-a-)", Juliett looked to see where the voice was coming from and said "Da!(Boo!)" with very good timing. It was so cute and fun, all of us laughed together.
We had another funny "Inai-inai-baa!" story from today. We went to the kids' library again. When the babies and moms were playing and singing at the play space, Juliett wanted to get out of my arms, so I let her go. She quickly crawled to a book shelf by the play space and stood up against the shelf. Then she shouted "Aaaai, Baa!". That made me and my husband laugh so hard. There was a copy of her favorite book, "Inai-inai-Baa!", in front of her. At home we read it to her almost every day. She had found the book on the book shelf and shouted "Inai-inai-Baa!" as we do with her.
After we got home, she picked up the book and enjoyed looking at pictures and turning over the pages. She really likes the book.
I bought some kitchen clothes at IKEA. They sold a cloth for about 70cents . I cut it in half and made a bag with B by cross-stitches. It matches with the small bag I made before.
My parents gave Juliett a really nice toy(wood puzzles). There are so many toys made in China in Japan, but we hear lots of bad problems about Chinese toys these days. So my husband and I decided not to buy Chinese toys any more.(It is quite difficult though,...) My parents understood our decision and chose the toy made in Sweden. Juliett was happy playing with the ribbon when she got the gift, then she started to suck the blocks. Maybe, the toy was too early for her. My parents are going to keep it until Juliett becomes not to be interested in sucking things. Mom knows my very favorite color, a little dark red. She said that she knew I would love the toy's color. I really like the color and also the toy. Wood toys are warm, have a comfortable touch. I would like to keep the toy for a long time, for Juliett and also for her babies in the future!
Juliett likes to shake toys. She enjoyed shaking the princess star stick today. She loves to climb up on the sofa. She couldn't get down from it before, but now she turns herself and gets down with her legs. That is amazing! She also loves to play "peek -a-boo", "Inai-inai-baa!" in Japanese. When I say, "Inai-inai (Peek-a)" and cover my face with hands, she shouts, "Baa!(Boo!)". We repeat playing it a lot. I carried Juliett on my back and walked around our rooms. She was laughing all the time on my back. I got tired and put her on the sofa, but she wanted to do it again and again, she climbed on my back and tapped me as if to say that she said,"Mommy, once again, please!"
Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?”
Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?”
We went to Tokyo by Shinkansen(bullet train). Juliett seated well and played with toys, talked a lot, and waved her hands to other passengers. We had a really exciting and great time in Tokyo. (I'll write about the details later.)
