On our second day in west Japan, we went to Himeji Castle.
That was where Col wanted to visit in Japan, so Julie and I took so many photos of the castle to show him. I have never been there before either. I was very impressed by the cool castle. It is amazing that the castle has been there for more that 600 years! What a long history!
I also thought it was very unique to see the big castle in a modern city.
I hope you all enjoy the photos we took.
Julie was impressed by the moat. |
BEAUTIFUL! |
you can see family crests on the tiles |
we saw shooting holes(on the right wall). |
we heard that there were 21 gates. |

Luckily, it was a sunny day(super hot and humid though). We enjoyed walking around and in the castle. I hope we will go there again with Col next time. He will enjoy seeing it for sure.
Her jiji(grandpa) got her and her cousin ice cream. :)
