England trip 2014 #22 Thank you, love you, see you again, England.

２週間、十分に楽しんだし、願っていたこともできた。後ろ髪を引かれることなく、飛行機に乗り込み、窓の外でだんだん英国から離れていく様子を見ることができました。
I was very happy with the trip, I did everything I wished to do in England, so I wasn't sad when we got on the airplane at Heathrow Airport.

二十歳の時、両親が成人のお祝いは着物がいいか、海外旅行がいいか、と選択肢をくれた。私はそれで一度もしたことがなかった海外旅行を選び、人生で初めての「外国」へ行かせてもらいました。両親がくれたその選択肢で私の世界は広がって、今がある。本当に感謝しています。
In Japan, turning to 20 year old is a big celebration and usually and traditionally parents buy their daughters full set of special Kimono for the celebration.
When I turned to 20, my parents told me that they would give me two choices, to spend the same amount of money, they could get me a set of Kimono, or they could get me a trip to visit somewhere abroad.
I thanked them so much and chose the trip choice, and I chose to go to Europe for the first time(it was my first trip abroad also).

その旅行はツアーで英国・ドイツ・スイス・そしてフランスというコース。
飛行機に乗って生まれて初めて日本を離れ、英国に降り立ち、ヒースロー空港を出てホテルへ向かったバスからの初めての異国の景色は、夜で暗かったけれど、お店や街のライトの感じ、今もとても鮮明に覚えています。ここがロンドンなんだ。。。って。
The tour was 2 weeks from London, some towns in Germany, some towns in Switzerland, and to Paris. I still remember the view from the bus window from Heathrow to our hotel so vividly and clearly.

「大都会」で言えば、その旅行の続きのパリ、それからニューヨークにもロサンゼルスにも行く機会があったし、「海外」で言えば、この６年間カナダに住んでいるわけだけれど、この１８年間、私の心を魅了して仕方がないイングランド。これからも私の憧れであり「お気に入り」の場所なんだろうな。そんな場所に出会えて幸せだと思います。
Since the moment, I have been attracted to England. I don't know why, talk about big cities, I have visited Paris, N.Y. and L.A. and of course Tokyo. Talk about being abroad, I have been in Canada for this 6 years. I don't know why but I love England, it is and will be my favourite place. I think I am lucky to find somewhere so special to me.

イングランドに家族で行けたことに感謝。
そしてそこで大切な友達みんなに会えたことに感謝。
I am glad about that I went to England with Col and Juliett.
Thank you so much for our lovely friends who made time for us and welcomed us.
We had a fantastic time with you all.
