a fun trip with our family friends

幼馴染家族と１泊旅行に行きました。
赤ちゃんの頃から両親同士が仲良くて、それからずっと親しくさせていただいている家族。
We went to a trip with our family friends. My parents have been good friends with the couple since their daughter and I were babies.

同じ年の幼馴染は学校もみんな違ったけれど、機会あるごとに２家族で食事をしたり、旅行に行ったり、大人になってからは一緒に買い物に行ったり、子供ができてからは子供もつれて出かけたり。地元で頑張っている彼女のところにひょいっとこうやって何年ぶりに帰ってきてもいつも同じように迎えてくれて安心します。彼女を含め、私はそういう大切な友人たちがたくさんいて幸せだなと思います。みんな、どうもありがとう。
We(2 families) have done many trips and dinners with them since then, I feel so comfortable to be with them, I was looking forward to this trip.

Do you see cherry blossom trees in the mountains? they were so pretty.

今回は母親、娘（私たち）、それに孫３人（ジュリ含め）の３世代旅行。
楽しいこと満載の旅行でした。
2 mothers, 2 daughters, and 3 grand children. It was so much fun to trip together.
Juliett soon became a good friend with my friend's children.

いちご狩り。
赤々として大きなイチゴがたっくさんなっていました。
制限時間は３０分、おいしくっておいしくって甘くって、すっごく食べました。
We went to pick strawberries in Izu. They had really sweet strawberries, 30minutes for 1400yen(about $15) per person, we had so many strawberries!

Juliett ate a lot too.

旅館は子供たちが思いっきり遊べるように、とっても広いスペースのあるお部屋をとってくれました。子供たち、走った、走った！いっぱい遊んだ！
Our room at the Ryokan was so big, children ran and ran there. They did many fun games, adults had a really good time talking as we do every time we see each other.

旅館のバイキングの種類の豊富さ。やっぱり日本ってすごい。
みんなで久しぶりにいろいろ話せて、子供たち同士もすぐに仲良くなって、とてもいい時間を過ごしました。温泉も気持ち良かった。
Dinner and breakfast were both "you can eat as much as you want". I ate as much as I could because everything was so good. I ate lots of fish.
We had a nice time relaxing in Onsen too.

翌日は天城の「東府や」さんというところに行きました。
We went to Amagi next day.

車の中で、「とうふやが」「もうすぐとうふやだ」と聞いて、てっきり豆腐をランチに食べるのかと思って、旅館では夕食も朝食もバイキングだったのに、またもう食べるのか。。。と思っていたら、こんな素敵な場所でした。すっごいすてき。母の大好きな場所だそうです。私もすぐに気に入りました。

We went to a beautiful place that had a bakery, ryokan, and ashi-yu(bath for feet).

東府やさんで撮った写真をたくさん載せますね。
ここは主人も来たら好きだろうなぁ。。。外国人が喜びそうなもの満載でした。
This place, "Tofuya" garden was so beautiful and I thought Col and his parents would like this place. I took lots of photos there. Enjoy!

いい景色を見ながらおいしいパンを食べられます。
you can eat fresh bread enjoying the beautiful view and feet bath.

桜の花びらがいっぱい、みんなで走って集めました。
children picked cherry blossoms petals.

桜、いっぱいいっぱい見られました。

fun everyday

ばぁばのお庭にはメジロが来ます。

撮った写真の数も1000枚を超え、本当にいろんな経験・発見ができました。
今日も続きをいくつか。
I took more than 1000 photos.
We had so many fun experiences and we found lots of interesting things.

私の元同僚・先輩と息子君たちと一緒に富士市でランチをして公園で遊んだ時の写真。
今度4年生と6年生になるお兄ちゃんたちはほんっとうに優しくて、最初っから最後までジュリの話を聞いてずっと一緒に遊んで（つきあって）くれました。感謝、感謝！

Juliett and I went to see my friends who were used to be my co-workers. One of them have 2 sons and they played with Juliett so nicely(actually they took care of her really well), Juliett liked them soooooooo much, she had a lot of fun with them.
I also had a wonderful time with my friends, the cherry blossoms were so beautiful at the park we went.

ジュリはもうお兄ちゃんたちが大好きでたまらなかった様子、嬉しくてたまらなくてハグしたりキスしようとしたり。広い公園で思いっきり遊んでにっこにこの1日でした。

私は同じ仕事をしていた素敵な同僚と先輩に会えて嬉しかったなぁ。。心の底からガハハと笑っていっぱいパワーチャージさせてもらいました。どうもありがとう！

ばぁばとジュリとのんびりと私の小学校に散歩に行きました。
これ、「日本でやりたいことリスト」のかなり上位に入っていたのでできて良かった。
でも、春休み中で門に鍵がかかっていて、校庭でジュリと一緒に遊ぶことができなくて残念。
This is my elementary school. I had wanted to take Juliett there to show her my school for a long time. The gate was closed, so we couldn't go into the playground but I was glad that I was able to show her the school. I guess I was happy to see my old school too.

門に続く懐かしい階段をのぼって、体育館の中を見たら、これまた懐かしい跳び箱が置いてありました。跳び箱、飛べるまでは嫌いだったけれど、飛べるようになったら大好きになって、かなり高い段まで飛べるようになって嬉しかった。あの跳び箱の上の厚いキャンバス地とか、友達と2人で運んだ段、マットのにおい、体育着。懐かしいなぁ。
I saw vaulting horses(is that right? we used the boxes to jump over at our gym time) in the gym. I really liked doing that when I was in grade 5 and 6.

一瞬給食のおいしいにおいとあの時のいろんな気持ちが手に（鼻に）感じるようにひゅっとよみがえってきて、すごく懐かしくて特別な瞬間でした。ジュリに見せたかったんだけれど、私の方がよっぽど嬉しかった。
I felt so nostalgia and I thought as if I could even smell school lunches. It was a special time for me to see my school.

トンネルを歩くのってジュリにとっては珍しいことみたい。
ちょうど部活帰りだった中学生の男の子たちがエコーで楽しんでて、ジュリも声を上げてエコー聞いて喜んでました。
Juliett had fun walking in a tunnel. Junior high students were doing echo and she also heard her echo sounds.

連絡は公衆電話で。
ジュリはばぁばに電話で話すの嬉しそう。
We don't have a mobile phone, so we use public phones when we are out.

電車を待っている間に缶コーヒー。
こういうの懐かしい。
We have lots of vending machines in Japan. I bought canned coffee.

近所のスーパーで。ちなみにジュリはブリが好き。

お店の人に許可をとって数枚撮らせてもらいました。
こういうお寿司でさえもおいしい。魚が厚い。
We love sushi too!

（カーネル）おじさん、なんで立ってるの？ジュリの疑問。
Juliett was curious about Mr.Sanders(who made KFC) doll in front of KFC.
We see the dolls at KFC in Japan, but we don't see them in Canada.

主人が仕事の休憩によく食べたチョコパン。ジュリも食べて来てねと指令が出てました。
When Col lived in Japan, he liked to eat this chocolate bread during break at work.
He told Juliett to taste them, she liked them so much.

じぃじの仕事帰りのお土産も楽しみ。
My dad brings fancy souvenirs on the way from work. yum!

そしてしめはやっぱり桜で。
and the last is of course, cherry blossoms. :)
